U15 Singles Rockfest Atlantic qualifier - Feb 1, 2024
Youth curlers can attend the U-15 singles event on Feb 1st in Bridgewater NS. This event will be held the day prior to the U-15 provincial championship. Athletes do not need to be registered for the U-15 provincials to take part in the singles event. Registration deadline for the Singles event is January 8th, 2024.
All curlers must download Curling Canada’s Singles App, “Singles Curling”, for iOS and Android, and complete a variety of shots such as a hit and stay, draw, hit and roll, guard, peel and more. The shots are scored and inputted into the app, with the top curlers from NS receiving an invitation to Rockfest Atlantic (March 29-31, 2024). ***In order to qualify for U-15 RockFest Atlantic, curlers will have to score a minimum of 10 out of 36 points.
NS will qualify 10 girls and 10 boys for Rockfest Atlantic. There will be a $50 fee for qualifying curlers to attend Rockfest Atlantic. All travel expenses are the responsibility of the individual athlete.
Curlers will also have the option of qualifying individually using the "Single Curling" app with a coach at their own clubs. The deadline is Feb 19, 2024 for individuals outside of the Singles Event.
