Game Umpire Course Registration The Game Umpire course is designed for individuals who have successfully completed the Time Clock Operator/Game Observer training (formerly known as Level 1).
Prerequisites to be eligible for the Game Umpire course, participants must:
Complete the Time Clock Operator/Game Observer Training - Training materials are available here: curling.ca/officiating-structure - Submit the Time Clock Operator/Game Observer Registration Form (located at the end of the training manual linked above). - Gain Practical Experience - Serve as a Time Clock Operator or Game Observer at a Provincial or National Championship for a minimum of 6 games, under the supervision of a certified Chief Umpire (Level 3 or higher).
Verification of Experience - Have the Time Clock Operator/Game Observer verification form signed by the supervising Chief Umpire and submit it to NS Curling.
Submission Deadline: - All required documentation must be submitted by September 14 to be considered for enrollment in the Game Umpire course.
